The Case Manager Assistant is responsible for assisting our Diversion Case Managers and the Diversion Program Manager with tasks associated in processing clients from the beginning of our program through termination. This will require utilizing a specific database and other tools in order to ensure the process flows smoothly. General clerical/administrative duties will be assigned to this position and other duties as needed and directed by the Diversion Program Manager.   • Screen clients for program acceptance and arrange client contact meeting.
  • Input client information into computer system.
  • Confirm client program eligibility.
  • Explain program requirements/expectations for successful completion as needed
  • Schedule drug testing and monitor results.
  • Track client compliance with program requirements in accordance with Maricopa County Attorney’s Office/TASC Adult Deferred Prosecution Program procedures.
  • Prepare submittals, forms, letters and other documentation corresponding to client noncompliance and successful or unsuccessful termination.
  • Attend diversion team / other agency meetings as scheduled or as may arise.
  • Utilize conflict resolution, behavior management skills, and team approach in performance of duties.
  • Provide emergent coverage for absent program personnel.
  • Schedule and prepare paperwork for behavioral specific programs.
  • Check and prepare files for intake e.g. identify missing information or paperwork.
  • Oversees intake appointment scheduling and rescheduling e.g. appointment reminders and no show follow up.
  • Provide clerical/administrative support
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

  1. Minimum Associates Degree with emphasis in Criminal Justice or Social Work.
  2. Minimum one (1) year work experience in criminal justice, social work or other related field.
  3. Must know basic office procedures and be familiar with operating office equipment.
  4. Must have good organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  5. Must be able to adhere to detailed instructions concerning process and procedure.
  6. Ability to read and write at a high school graduate or higher level.
  7. Ability to maintain standards protecting client confidentiality.
  8. Ability to effectively deal with non-cooperative people in a professional manner.
  9. Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
  10. Must be able to obtain a Level One fingerprint clearance card.
  11. Must pass a urinalysis screening and criminal background check.
  12. Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.



  • Must be able to lift from floor to waist up to 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
  • Must be able to give and receive verbal and written instructions.
  • Must possess the ability to utilize visual and auditory senses to complete all job duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to work in a typical office and health-care environment.
