TASC is currently looking for a Contract Billing and AR Manager to assist in the maintenance and preparation of the contract invoices and related receipt of invoice payments. Maintains records of the company according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The Accounting department handles accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, preparation of monthly financial statements, performs bank account reconciliations and daily bank deposits and reconciliations.   1. Review contracts to understand billing requirements and financial reporting requirements
  2. Oversees, and when necessary assists in the monthly contract billing process to submit invoices to funders timely to meet time-critical deadlines.
  3. Promptly issue billing invoices for all program contracts.
  4. Assists in payments research with respect to program contracts and determines, along with the Cash Application Specialist, appropriate recognition and coding.
  5. Collaborates with program staff regarding contract billing questions
  6. Problem solves, requests clarification, and resolves contract billing disputed items with funders.
  7. Provides excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Issue periodic management and financial reports with respect to programs (e.g. contract status reports, program receivable summaries, and other activity reports).
  9. Assists in, or performs, Compliance monitoring for all contracts. 
  10. Prepare audit schedules and answer questions from auditors as required.
  11. Leads and assists other billing staff member(s) in completion of tasks consistent with contract terms and policies and procedures.
  12. Maintain centralized electronic and paper files for all program contracts.
  13. Account Reconciliations as assigned.
  14. Advise CFO or Accounting Supervisor of actions that may require authority not currently granted to the positions (e.g., establishing new coding, potential contract or billing issues, etc.)
  15. Attends continuing education or program-related certification classes, staying up-to-date on the latest contract billing requirements.
  16. Maintains standards of confidentiality and a strong commitment to ethical practice.
  17. Supports payroll staff, provides back-up in their absence
  18. Other duties as assigned.

  1. Bachelor’s in accounting from an accredited institution.
  2. Computer literacy a must, including excellent knowledge of Excel.
  3. CPP preferred, but not required.
