TASC, Inc. is a 501(C)(3) Non-Profit Outpatient Substance Abuse/Mental Health Clinic that specializes in promoting optimum mental health for those struggling with various addictions, substance abuse, family-related challenges, parenting difficulties and relationship concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Provides Clinical Supervision to clinicians and case managers.
  • Ability to sign off on Behavioral Health Technician clinical documentation in accordance with ADHS standards.
  • Conducts clinical substance abuse/mental health assessments and develops client-centered treatment plans.
  • Plans and carries out individual, family and group counseling treatment.
  • Determines client program eligibility, client screening, client intakes and reporting on client progress.
  • Maintains accurate and complete records of clients on caseload.
  • Schedules and/or attends upon request/subpoena court hearings and other meetings with other individuals/organizations relative to the client's treatment.
  • Attends scheduled clinical supervision conferences and counseling meetings for information exchange, case reviews and client treatment.
  • Assists immediate supervisor in performance of delegated, special assignment duties.
  • Assists with Clinical Department daily operations, meetings in the absence of the Clinical Director
  • Maintains all employee documentation.
  • Experience with electronic health record keeping preferred.
  • Participates in hiring processes.
  • Assists Clinical Director with RFP responses, operations analysis, and service enhancement research.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EEO Statement

  1. Master’s degree from an accredited school of Clinical Social Work with focus on clinical counseling.
  2. Two years of full-time clinical social work experience working with criminal justice/substance abuse/mental health population. One year of direct treatment counseling preferred.
  3. Licensed as an LCSW with the State of Arizona required.
  4. Experience in billing and documentation with Medicaid, Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), and Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) preferred.
  5. Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health counseling theory and techniques. Experience and/or training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques and Motivational Interviewing required.
  6. Comprehensive understanding of the DSM V.
  7. Must be able to demonstrate good writing and verbal communication skills.
  8. Must be able to effectively communicate to a variety of treatment and criminal justice professionals in order to effectively coordinate client care.
  9. Must be able to competently demonstrate individual, family and group therapeutic skills.
  10. Must be able to demonstrate competent assessment skills.
  11. Must be able to integrate knowledge of substance abuse and mental health treatment into effective therapeutic practice on both an individual, family and group basis.
  12. Must be able to utilize a variety of theoretical and treatment techniques in providing counseling and treatment to substance involved individuals, including those involved in the justice system and those re-entering society.
  13. Must be able to perform a variety of duties within the framework of stated TASC programs and agency policy and procedures.
  14. Must be able to identify and present service opportunities to an executive level audience.
  15. Must be able to demonstrate an ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including those with co-occurring diagnoses.
  16. Bilingual skills preferred.
  17. Must pass criminal background check and urinalysis drug screens.
  18. Must be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  19. Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift from floor to waist up to 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
  • Must be able to give and receive verbal and written instructions.
  • Must possess the ability to utilize visual and auditory senses to complete all job duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to work in a typical office and health-care environment.
