    We are in search of an Operations Specialist for our Clinical department. In this role, you will work in collaboration with the Clinical Director to facilitate assigned functions; licensing requirements, conducts program audits, and provides support for other internal or external auditors; investigates and resolves compliance issues related to the Clinical department. The position evaluates regulatory agency reports and formulates responses and corrective actions; also responsible for maintaining logs, indexes, files, computer databases and other records pertaining to compliance and risk, as well as, creating logs and systems for entering and tracking compliance guidelines.

    Responsibilities

    RESPONSIBILITES:

    • Collaborates with subject matter experts to draft department procedures as needed.
    • Supports the Clinical Director by ensuring approved clinical policies and related department operations comply with municipal, state, federal, organizational, and contractual rules and regulations.
    • Ensures all clinical location sites maintain current policies, procedures, and required postings.
    • Collaborates with the Human Resources Department and monitors employee licenses, certificates, CPR, fingerprint clearance, trainings and continuing education compliance.
    • With oversight from the Clinical Director, responsible for behavioral health licensing activities, state and Motor Vehicle Department per Arizona Department of Health Services’ (ADHS) standards.
    • Responsible for maintaining Safety and Fire logs for all facilities, and ensuring annual fire inspections are completed at each location.
    • Retains all location audit monitoring logs, for various vendors, in the assigned state.
    • Attends and participates in weekly clinical case and administrative conference and staff trainings.
    • Participates as an active member of the TASC Quality Managers Team.
    • Builds new forms in Electronic Health Record System as directed by the Clinical Director.
    • Schedules and/or attends court hearings and meetings with other individuals/organizations as needed.
    • Enhances program development by researching potential service opportunities; locations, vendors, staff, curriculum, and licensing requirements.
    • Maintains all employee documentation.
    • Assist in billing process for insurance vendors and train staff in billing process. Trains staff in electronic health record system, billing and clinical operations.
    • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required, preferably health-related. Master’s Degree preferred; prior relevant privacy and general compliance work experience preferable
    • Must have health care background in billing and coding classification
    • Must have working knowledge of federal and state regulations governing mental health and substance abuse treatment; insurance billing a plus
    • Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health counseling theory and techniques
    • Ability to effectively use DSM V terminology and diagnoses
    • Must obtain Level One fingerprint clearance card
    • Must pass a criminal background check
    • Must pass urinalysis drug screen
    • Must have a valid driver's license
    • Must be able to communicate effectively and interact with diverse audiences, as well as, represent TASC in a professional manner
    • Requires excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
    • Must be able to demonstrate appropriate conflict resolution in stressful situations
    • Must be competent in computer skills, i.e. Access, Excel, and Word and electronic record keeping.
    • Must understand and apply a systems approach to problem solving and process improvement involving staff
    • Must understand the complexities of the organization, as well as involve others appropriately in consultations and decisions
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Must demonstrate a high level of integrity, ethical conduct, and trust worthiness
    • Expected abilities include; identify risk, create audit tools, conduct audits, and provide recommendations to executive leadership
    • This position will be assigned special projects as dictated by the needs of the business which may include educational programs, development of compliance plans and policies, and special audits or investigations

    WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be able to lift from floor to waist up to 20 pounds.
    • Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
    • Must be able to give and receive verbal and written instructions.
    • Must possess the ability to utilize visual and auditory senses to complete all job duties as assigned.
    • Must be able to work in a typical office and healthcare environment.
