  • Overview

    TASC is excited to announce a temporary full-time internship in our laboratory for college students who are majoring in Forensic Science or Chemistry. This internship is available to one (1) student for 12 weeks, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday and will be paid. Please be aware that only students of Grand Canyon University or Northern Arizona University are eligible as department permission has been granted by those universities.

    Responsibilities

    You will be introduced to the following processes/procedures:

    • Entire drug testing process from collection of the sample to reporting final results
    • Various testing methodologies
    • Required to keep a training log throughout internship
    • Required to prepare and present a presentation to the laboratory staff at the end of the internship describing your experience and what you have learned
    • Any other duties assigned

    • Must be majoring in Forensic Science or Chemistry
    • Must be an active, enrolled student at either Grand Canyon University or Northern Arizona University
    • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
    • Must be able to stand or sit for extended period of time
    • Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds
    • Must be able to pass a urinalysis drug test
    • Must be able to pass a background check
    • Must have experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power-Point

    **This internship does not qualify for benefits, holiday pay or TASC provided Paid Time Off (PTO). Starting July 1, 2017, per Arizona law, 1 hour of Paid Time Off (PTO) will accrue for every 30 hours worked while in this internship.**
