  • Overview

    Under the direct supervision of the Site Supervisor, is responsible for the performance of monitoring duties in the drug-testing program and will assist the Site Supervisor regarding training and oversight of the urinalysis monitors, and for acting as supervisor in the absence of the Site Supervisor. Provides a high level professionalism to the office and to promote a working atmosphere with a high quality of customer service.

     

    Responsibilities

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Applies established procedures in properly identifying and logging in clients providing specimen samples.
    • Performs all computer data query and data entry necessary for each client providing a specimen sample.
    • Collects and processes monetary fees from clients.
    • Performs same-sex monitoring, applying TASC-established direct observation techniques.
    • Processes specimen collections, to include proper chain-of-custody and other required documentation.
    • Assists in physical maintenance and cleanliness/sanitation of bathrooms used for collecting client specimen samples.
    • Executes daily cash-handling procedures and daily bank deposits.
    • Posts "color of the day" information as designated.
    • Assists supervisor in training and overseeing collection/monitoring staff.
    • Acts as Site Supervisor in supervisor’s absence.
    • Assumes all duties of a customer service technician when appropriate.
    • Other duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor within the general scope of this position or the local office’s mission and operational necessities

    QUALIFICATIONS

    1. High School Diploma or G.E.D. Business school coursework and/or computer training courses preferred. ** Primary Source Verification Required**
    2. Combination of two years of customer service, medical services, social services, criminal justice services, or other administrative services experience and/or training.
    3. One year of supervisory experience in a related field.
    4. Knowledge of substance abuse issues, including a basic knowledge of various illicit drugs and their effects.
    5. Must pass a criminal background check.
    6. Must pass a urinalysis drug screen.
    7. Must possess personnel supervisory skills, which include recruitment and training, disciplinary procedures, and performance evaluation preparation.
    8. Ability to get along well with others and motivate them through leadership skills and consistent work habits on a daily basis.
    9. Must have good organizational skills with ability to work well with frequent interruptions.
    10. Must have basic computer skills, to include basic experience with word-processing, spreadsheets, and charts. Minimum typing speed of 50wpm.
    11. Must have good command of the English language including writing and verbal communication skills.
    12. Capable of dealing in a courteous and tactful manner to all clientele.
    13. Must have, or acquire within six months of hiring, basic knowledge of OSHA and ADA requirements as they apply to the TASC facilities.
    14. Must be able to integrate knowledge in areas of criminal justice, substance abuse detection, customer service, and facilities maintenance.
    15. Must be able to effectively act as liaison between the TASC program, various jurisdictions in the criminal justice system and private/corporate clients.
    16. Must be able to effectively communicate with a variety of corporate, government and private agency professionals.
    17. Must be able to demonstrate integrity, avoidance of conflict of interest and resistance to client manipulation.
    18. Must pass all necessary background checks and
    19. Must be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint clearance card.
    20. Must pass urinalysis & TB testing.
    21. Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be able to lift from floor to waist up to 20 pounds.
    •  Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
    •  Must be able to give and receive verbal and written instructions.
    •  Must possess the ability to utilize visual and auditory senses to complete all job duties as assigned.
    •  Must be able to work in a typical office and healthcare environment.
