  • Overview

    Under the direct supervision of the TASC Diversion Program Director, the Case Manager/Court Liaison is responsible for a Diversion client caseload.  Performs tasks necessary to screen eligible clients for program acceptance, schedules drug testing and monitors results, makes referrals for appropriate services, tracks client compliance with diversion program requirements. Serves as representative in court hearings and meets with outside organizations as needed to ensure efficient and effective client service delivery. Serves as a point of contact and a source of information between Judges, Commissioners, Attorneys, and TASC, as well as a point of contact and a source of information between TASC and potential clients voluntarily signing up for the TASC Diversion program through EDC or RCC courts.   Assists supervisors in Diversion program as needed.


    • Screen clients for program acceptance, arrange client contact meetings, make appropriate client referrals.
    • Confirm client program eligibility, conduct group or individual screening orientation as needed.
    • Schedule drug testing and monitor results.
    • Schedule and/or attend court hearings and other meetings with organizations / individuals regarding the client as needed.
    • Conducts client interviews at Early Disposition Courts to determine eligibility and complete intake paperwork.
    • Maintains an appropriate line of communication between TASC staff and court staff
    • Responsible for tracking/organizing referrals, program paperwork and files
    • Track client compliance with diversion program requirements in accordance with Maricopa County Attorney’s Office/TASC Adult Deferred Prosecution Program procedures.
    • Attend diversion team / other agency meetings as scheduled or as may arise.
    • Monitor TASC clients for urine specimen collection when necessary.
    • Rotate to Early Disposition Courts as requested to perform program eligibility interviews and complete referral paperwork.
    • Utilize conflict resolution, behavior management skills, and team approach in performance of duties.
    • Provide emergent coverage for absent program personnel.
    • Complete other duties as assigned.

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Behavioral Sciences or related field AND/OR combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job duties of this position.
    2. Case Management experience, knowledge of substance abuse treatment modalities preferred.

    4. Must able to pass all necessary background checks and obtain a Level One fingerprint clearance card.
    5. Must know basic office procedures and be familiar with operating office equipment.
    6. Must have good organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
    7. Must be able to adhere to detailed instructions concerning process and procedure.
    8. Ability to read and write at degree level achieved.
    9. Ability to maintain standards protecting client confidentiality.
    10. Ability to effectively deal with non-cooperative people in a professional manner.
    11. Ability to operate basic office equipment, e.g., keyboard, telephone, photocopier, facsimile with minimal instruction.
    12. Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
    13. Primary Source Verification is required.




    • Must be able to lift from floor to waist up to 20 pounds.
    • Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
    • Must be able to give and receive verbal and written instructions.
    • Must possess the ability to utilize visual and auditory senses to complete all job duties as assigned.
    • Must be able to work in a typical office and healthcare environment.
